Here the primal DUPLY I've created for my father-in-law.

This man was my beloved father-in-law. When he was 80 years old he suffered of a minor heart attack. During the first few weeks the therapists tried to test his mental capabilities by letting him solve a few simple children's games.

The old man played along at first, only to later furiously exclaim that he wouldn't put up with this 'kid's stuff' any longer. One of these children's games was the in Germany extremely popular 'Memory'.

Because the therapists couldn't stop the treatment, I decided to make him his very own 'Memory'. Soon a couple of popular images very picked out and solid hand-made card pairs were crafted. The result was quite a sight! Now my father-in-law thoroughly enjoyed playing his own 'Memory' with the therapists.

The joy of playing and the positive results of the treatment were the initial spark for DUPLY. Everybody should have the opportunity to make a very own game with their favorite pictures and images.

Everyone I told about this idea was enthralled. I worked on the concept for a long time and launched a - not too successful - website, where you could order your own handmade DUPLY. Personal changes made a break in the project necessary, but the idea was just too good to let it go!

A good friend of mine was also thrilled by DUPLY and asked me why I didn't make DUPLY an application for smartphones. For this, too, I came up with a complete concept. But due to the lack of qualified programmers, I couldn't go forward with this idea as well.

Over this detour I have came to the decision to make DUPLY a solely online experience. In the meantime a bunch of ideas have been added to the game, which you will be able to see and play now on our new website.
